Pre chemo, I was like the octo-mom. She has lots of kids — so no time to give each one any special attention. I used to have lots of eyelashes … too many to count, so I had to quickly swipe the mascara wand across the whole “family of lashes”. Now 4 months into chemo, I’m down to 3 — 4 eye lashes. Now… I’m like a mom of a first born (single) baby. I carefully take the mascara and lovingly place it on each individual eye lash, as though I were Monet painting a prized impressionist painting.
How will I ever go back to juggling the demands of work, family, exercise and a full complement of eye lashes??????????????

so, it suddenly occurred to me that when one puts mascara on a whole set of eyelashes, we open our mouths (remember that comment oh so many years ago) and I wonder: Is the same true when applying mascara to one eyelash?
